On Thursday 12th December Click2Move consortium (Erasmus+) celebrated the Second Conference in the Technological University of the Shannon (Athlone, Ireland). The aim of this conference was the dissemination of the results of work to date. Practitioners, company managers, human resources professionals and executives attended the conference in-person and online.

Dr Kieran Dowd, the Irish coordinator, opened the conference with a welcome and event overview, and acted as moderator throughout the conference. Professor Karin Proper from the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (The Netherlands) gave a keynote on the impact of sedentarism on health, focusing on office workers. This was followed by Dr Judit Bort-Roig (leader of the project from University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia, Spain) who provided an overview of the co-creation of the project (phase 1) which was followed by the PhD researchers Iris Parés-Salomón (University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia, Spain) and Alan Coffey (Technological University of the Shannon, Ireland). They explained the results of the systematic review on the evidence of digital solutions to reduce sedentary behaviour in (home-)office workers and two qualitative studies on the barriers and facilitators for breaking sedentary behaviour at home-office environment from managers and employees’ perspectives. Judit Bort-Roig discussed the final output from the co-creation phase: the Click2Move intervention. The final presentation was given by Steve Bell (European Network for Workplace Health Promotion at Work) who explained the training course for companies’ health promotors. Each presentation was followed by 5 minutes of questions and discussions.
